Welcome

Parents in Partnership

We welcome parents and carers into Wykebeck Primary School, believing we are partners in the education of your children. There are many opportunities for parents to become involved in the life of the school and to gain a greater understanding of its work. Parents’ support and expertise can be used in many ways and is greatly valued. Police checks and DBS checks are carried out on all adults working in school including regular volunteers. If you are able to help, please talk to your child’s teacher.

Communication with Parents / Carers

We communicate with parents and carers in various ways, for example through our newsletters, questionnaires, workshops and informal social events. Parents are regularly invited to assemblies, and to Parents’ Evenings. Every year parents and others are invited to attend our Sports Day as well as children’s performances.

Staff will always be happy to meet with parents and carers to share any concerns.

The school has a Home School Agreement to support the partnership between home and school, and foster shared dialogue.

Respectful Dialogue

Our pupils and staff are entitled to learn and work in a safe environment. We welcome visitors to school and respectfully ask that any issues or concerns are raised politely with a member of staff so that they can be addressed.

Abusive, threatening or violent behaviour could result in you being asked to leave the premises. Repeated incidents may result in future access to school premises being restricted.

Thank you for your support and for working with us to ensure that our school is a safe environment for pupils, staff and all members of our community.

The School’s website has further information including our newsletters and copies of key policies.
